I’ve seen a TON of women entrepreneurs getting second photoshoots because they didn’t like how their first one turned out . Hopefully this post will help you reduce that risk :)

  1. Wear something you FEEL good in

    1. If you feel good, you will look good. If you aren’t sure what will look good or be figure flattering, Nordstrom (and rack) tailor anything you buy. You can really wear anything you like as long as it fits, and some people have even said you should tailor EVERYTHING you wear.
    2. This is also important to be true to who you are because you want your audience to get to know you because it builds trust.
  2. Prepare your Photographer

    1. Tell the Photographer what your branding goals are. Think about the copy and types of poses you’ll want. Include a wide range of poses , outfits, and looks.
    2. Tell the photographer what COLORS you will be using
  3. Invest in your look.

    1. Get your hair and makeup done professionally (groupon could be a good bargain for this). Again, you need to feel good to look good.
  4. Do the legwork

    1. Pick a Photographer with good photo manipulation skills so your photos will match your brand perfectly. Make sure you see the photographer’s reviews and portfolio. Select a Photographer who specializes in portrait (even better if it’s headshots or branding photography)
  5. Tell us who you ARE

    1. Have the photographer take some still life shots of some of your favorite things to include throughout your brand.
    2. Ideas for additional photos are: Pics of you with your family, your dog, pics of you working, pics of you with what is near and dear to your heart. For photos on your About content section; you can use unprofessional shots from your instagram or whatever. That’s acceptable.
