Highlighting features of an item

Hello! Im starting a new series to organize design inspiration for any publication you can think of. Feel free to peruse, as i thought it might be interesting. Use the tag inspiration

I’m starting with list designs here, and I will add and evolve each list as time goes by and I want to keep new inspiration.

This is really for my own record so I’m not going to say too much. Feel free to ask questions!

Clean list and info design layout great for health or wellness industry publications

Create them first, and then keep them in a spreadsheet. ONLY use those tags and categories. This will make it easy for visitors to find your content.
Here’s an example of a good category/tag hierarchy:
Categories (more broad):
Breakfast Recipes
Lunch Recipes
DInner Recipes
Snack Recipes
Tags (more specific):
low calorie, sweets, sugar free, superfoods, fruits, veggies,
vegan, vegetarian,

Facebook is a given. It’s the first social media you should have even if you don’t utilize it. Obviously it depends on where your clients are hanging out online, but pretty much everyone and their grandma is on Facebook so here are a couple easy ways you can use it.

1. Create a page for your business:

You really should have a facebook page for your business. I don’t think anyone would be taken seriously as a business if they didn’t. You don’t have to go crazy and post all the time, but you should at minimum have your information, hours, etc. on it. WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW

  2. What you do
  3. When you’re available
  4. Where you are located
  5. Why (Benefits or why people should work with you)
  6. How to reach you

Dean Street Society

Alright, I just can’t. I can’t wrap my peabrain around Dean Street Society’s amazing website. I really just… Who MADE this gem?! It’s so fun. All I want in my life is to build websites that make people feel how I feel when I look at this website.

Breaking it on down:

Hillary has broken her services down into uber-cool packages on a main page, and then more in depth on the sub-pages. See parts one and two. I’m totally going to buy every service of her’s one day.
